Amidst high drama and uproar Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat on Monday won the floor test in the Assembly by a voice vote.He heads the Congress-NCP coalition.
This happened after the speaker restricted three legislators to take part in vote of confidence and himself voted in the favor of Congress led coalition . The BJP led opposition staged a walkout from the house alleging that the governor’s orders had been violated by the ruling party. Two MLAs from Maharashtrawadi Gomantak party (MGP) Sudin Dhavlikar And Dipak Dhavlikar along with Victoria Fernandes belonging to Congress were stopped by Speaker Pratap Singh Rane on petiton filed by Congress legislators Angelo Fernandes and Chandra Kavalekar of the Congress.

The Kamat government had been reduced to minority after two member MGP and one indipendent legislator withdrew their support.
